PROCESS:

Use of Fisher Scientific Isotemp Programmable Oven, Model 838F.

The instruction manual is kept on the table in room 150E, below the oven.

HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS/CLASS OF HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS:

Do not use flammable liquids or materials that produce flammable vapors in the vicinity of a heated oven.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Inside temperature can be as high as 325C. Use heat resistant gloves or tongs to handle heated materials. Do not stand in front of the oven to open the oven door when the temperature is elevated.

ENGINEERING/VENTILATION CONTROLS:

SPECIAL HANDLING PROCEDURES AND STORAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Users should always make sure the door is completely closed and latched before starting a heating procedure.

Avoid touching hot surfaces.

Never block the air circulation vent at the top of the oven.
